Chemical Peel Treatment in Westminster, CO

At Allied Medical Aesthetics, we offer medical-grade chemical peels from PCA Skin® and SkinMedica®. These professional-grade treatments use safe, effective ingredients to exfoliate dead skin cells and stimulate cell turnover. SkinMedica® peels, such as the Illuminize, Vitalize, and Rejuvenize peels, are especially effective for addressing mild to moderate skin imperfections and are suitable for various skin types. Whether you’re targeting acne, discoloration, or signs of aging, we’ll help you choose the right peel for visible, lasting results.

How Does a Chemical Peel Work

A chemical peel uses a safe solution to gently remove layers of damaged skin, revealing a fresher, healthier layer underneath. This encourages new cell growth and collagen production, helping your skin look smoother and more even. Chemical peels can reduce fine lines, scars, sun damage, uneven tone, acne, and large pores. They come in different strengths, from light peels that refresh the surface to deeper peels that target more significant concerns, and are chosen based on your skin type and goals.

BENEFITS OF

Chemical Peels

  • Improves Texture and Tone: Targets uneven skin tone, fine lines, and acne scarring.
  • Boosts Collagen Production: Stimulates skin regeneration for firmer, healthier skin.
  • Customizable Options: Choice of PCA® or SkinMedica® peels tailored to your skin concerns.
  • Minimal Downtime: Most treatments allow for a quick return to normal activities.

How to get ready

Stop Active Topicals and Chemical Exfoliants (1 Week Prior): Pause retinoids (tretinoin, Retin-A, retinol), AHAs (glycolic, lactic), BHAs (salicylic), benzoyl peroxide, and harsh physical scrubs. These thin the outer stratum corneum, which can cause the peel solution to penetrate too deeply and lead to chemical burns, scarring, or irregular frosting.

  • Avoid Direct Sun Exposure and Tanning (1–2 Weeks Prior): Stay away from sunbathing, tanning beds, and self-tanners. Sun-exposed or compromised skin drastically raises the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) or uneven skin tone post-peel. Apply a daily broad-spectrum SPF 30+ religiously.
  • Halt Facial Hair Removal and Exfoliating Treatments (1 Week Prior): Avoid waxing, dermaplaning, laser hair removal, electrolosis, and depilatory creams on the area to be treated. These disrupt the skin's surface barrier and can make the peel solution sting intensely or penetrate unpredictably.
